Now that you’ve validated your new idea in discovery, you need to start translating this for delivery. But how do you do this? Let's explore

So let's say that you’ve been working on a new idea, feature or project which correlates to the overall strategy and roadmap. This idea has been taken through discovery, is now validated (you think) and you’ve kicked off the project. So what's next?

User Stories

Generally speaking, you would then start to think about how you could translate or break down your discovery work into ‘User Stories’, an approach used in agile methodology.

A user story is an informal, general explanation of a software feature written from the perspective of the end user. Its purpose is to articulate how a software feature will provide value to the customer. — Atlassian

As per the definition above, user stories are not just system requirements (past thinking) but rather a way to describe the value for the customer in a non-technical format and allow the team to understand what and why their building it.
